Let’s face it. Fine lines and creases on the face and neck are not flattering, period. The truth is, these fine lines, aka wrinkles make us look older, and when we see that, and see how people notice and react to it, it weighs on us, and not only to we begin to look older, we also begin to feel older. Well, boo!
Of course, we all want to have smooth and fair skin; anybody who tells you otherwise is lying. Youthful skin boosts our self confidence because we know that other people look favorably upon good skin, and let’s be honest, so do we. As much as we all say beauty is what’s on the inside, and cannot be equated as skin-deep, well, we’re predisposed to appreciate nice, tight skin over saggy wrinkly old bag skin. Yes that’s right, let’s be honest here.
In an attempt to limit wrinkles from occurring, skin specialists recommend that we adhere to a disciplined skin care regimen. Part of this regimen would include the use of a wrinkle reducer, which may come in creams, lotions, oils, soaps and other topical material. Who hasn’t seen a good wrinkle cream do its magic? Companies also offer a complete set of products for step by step skin care, that way you get what you need in one consolidated package.
So, how does one choose the best antiaging skin product? Pick up the wrinkle creme that is being promoted by some actress dujour? Given all the ads both in print and other media such as online and tv, it is increasingly difficult to ascertain what is a good one from a bad one. Price does not necessarily equate with quality and effectiveness. On the other hand, cheap wrinkle reducer products may not be effective either. You may ultimately find that a particular wrinkle creme or an integrated package of antiaging skin product may do the trick for you, and that price played no part in its effectiveness. Thus, in the never-ending quest to look and feel young, the best thing to do is to find something that works, and preferably one that uses natural, as opposed to synthetic ingredients. Bottom line: start by gathering ideas from friends who have tried different products, begin sampling those products, give the products time to show their merit (or lack thereof), then decide. Because we are all unique, it may take some time before you find the one for you. Definitely, this is one area where one size (or in this case, one product) does not fit all.
