Well, while some people may not have issues with their credit, they may have some other concerns which are weighing down on them. Issues with credit can be resolved. But what about issues associated with aging? Wrinkle treatment, anyone?
Wrinkles are simply creases or folds in the skin. There are many factors responsible for wrinkles. Take your pick: aging, dehydration, sun damage, and more. The most common, however, is aging.
Arguably, prolonged immersion in water can also result in temporary wrinkles – when your fingers, toes and even your face turn prune-like. Admittedly, wrinkles are in no way life threatening; unfortunately, they do make people look rather dilapidated, and so understandably, many would rather not have them.
Excessive wrinkles on the face and neck are, let’s face it, quite unsightly and immediately add decades to our look. But guess what? Wrinkles can be dealt with through medical or cosmetic treatment. Wrinkle treatment through wrinkle laser procedures and and other skin treatments such as injections are popular methods of removing wrinkles.
Unfortunately, though popular, the aforementioned approaches are not only risky, but also costly. Are there alternatives? Sure. For quite some time now, people have been using topical creams, oils and other skin care formulas in their efforts at wrinkle reduction. They’re not only safer, but also more cost effective.
Recent medical advances have unearthed new information on skin care, in particular the genesis of wrinkles and why they appear. With these discoveries, non invasive treatments were made possible in an effort to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. As one can imagine, treatment options for facial wrinkles, and advice on how we can maintain a wrinkle-free skin have been benefitting the public as a result.
Encouraging results have been realized in numerous experiments, and many have benefitted from the changes that technology has made possible. A particularly inspiring revelation is that collagen, the main protein of connective tissue, can be artificially stimulated to decrease the appearance of fine lines on one’s face. With discoveries such as these, perhaps society can focus on preventive care, so that rather than focusing on wrinkle treatment, people can turn their attention to anti wrinkle procedures, and not have those lines appear on our faces to begin with.
Next time on Your Health, we will look at the idea of using skin care products to help prevent wrinkles.
